What does Shelter advocate for the older generation?

I would be delighted to learn from Shelter just what their intentions are for accommodating elderly people. Do they propose Retirement Villages and if so where does the land come from?

Who funds these Retirement Villages? Not Private Sector landlords (PSLs) I fear.

The position in the real world is the PSL has just one house on average let to a family. As the family flees the nest the house immediately becomes too large on formula for the parents.

However, the Parents are fully entitled to remain in the house, albeit over occupied, as long as they pay the rent.

Yet at the bottom of the pile we have a young couple with a small toddler who could fully occupy the house and pay the same rent, but have no-where to live.

So what does Shelter advocate?
