Where is the landlords’ voice?

Hi all, I have been listening to many reports on the news and most recently a representative of Shelter on Rip Off Britain.

Whilst I fully agree some properties are in a bad state of disrepair and mould, however the majority of landlords keep there properties in EXCELLENT condition.

Where is the landlords’ voice?

Why does the media not ask landlords what the biggest cause of the mould is?

Why are organisations not standing up for landlords/landladies?

I sit there shouting at the tv when I hear the **** that comes from some organisations, as they clearly do not do their investigations by visiting PRS properties as they would be shocked to see that 95% of the mould is caused by the lack of ventilation, tenants blocking air vents, not using extractors, opening windows etc.

Who do the PRS and Agents contact to give our views, experience and knowledge too?

Thank you,

Shell

NRLA do some positive work for LLs but they use a soft and diplomatic strategy like Charity Organisation.

The problem is that LLs been treated by policy makers and others like criminals and as such as policy makers use the opportunity to invent more and more regulations against LLs because LLs do not have a strong representation to fight back. Besides, we see all the time councils using LLs as cash cow and as default to collecting money, which they cannot do from tenants.... LLs should be good law abiding business but NO charity people or organisation. LLs contribution like other business mortgage lenders, letting agents engaging in lawful activity and paying the fair taxes.

While NRLA make some educational contribution in the PRS, the soft, diplomatic approach is music in the ears of policy makers. Policy makers use the statistic and educational that NRLA have to VALIDATE NEW REGULATION, BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE CONTRIBUTION OF "A RECOGNISED & TRUSTED PRS ORGANISATION".....unfortunately to LLs expenses

It's about time the landlord had a voice always bad reports against landlords.
I lived in a property for ten years before I decided to rent it out and I never suffered with damp or mould within six months of letting had reports of mould and damp from tenants.
When I investigated the property they had wet washing hanging up and windows and doors closed.
But yet its down to the landlord to resolve the common sense of the issue and to receive the usual commentd of landlords always the bad person. As said before all landlords are bad ones...
