Are you a landlord who is rushing to sell before an incoming Labour government? Then, Lucy Alderson, The Times and The Sunday Times money reporter would like to speak with you.

Data shows the number of rental properties that are being put on the market is increasing. The Times are looking for landlords who have recently sold their property in the run-up to the general election/are planning on putting their properties up for sale as they are worried about an incoming Labour government.

Ms Alderson woukd like to ask Property118 readers about:

– What are your concerns as a landlord about Labour winning the election

– Why did you sell your property in the run-up to the election or: why are you looking to sell your properties before Labour gets into power

– Where will you be investing your money instead?

If you would like to be interviewed then please email: lucy.alderson@thetimes.co.uk as soon as possible.

– What are your concerns as a landlord about Labour winning the election

A. Anti-landlord rhetoric coupled with ridiculous legislation from the Tories is bad enough. My plan is to sell because my kids don’t want to inherit the properties. The threat of a novice Labour government imposing restrictions on my ability to sell with vacant possession is my number one concern.

– Why did you sell your property in the run-up to the election or: why are you looking to sell your properties before Labour gets into power

A. One tenant passed away recently. This is an opportunity to sell. I certainly cannot risk having another tenant with a whole arsenal of rights and no responsibilities.

– Where will you be investing your money instead?

A. A mixture of savings, shares and gifts to the kids. If I could sell them all, I’d emigrate to Rwanda.

Does any landlord trust The Times any more than we trust the politicians?
