There are few online services which go back longer than about 10 years or so – but Landlord Law is one of the exceptions!  It was started way back in 2001 by solicitor Tessa Shepperson. Just after the collapse of the dot.com bubble!

“Back then,” Tessa told us “membership sites were not even a ‘thing’ and I had no idea that this was what I was creating!.  However, it has been a brilliant service for landlords – and also for me!”

During the intervening years, a lot has happened.  The Landlord Law site has been through three iterations – with new websites being launched in 2010 and then the current site in 2018.  Members can now create documents online, follow step by steps guides on various issues, and ask Tessa questions in the forum.

In order to celebrate the 20th anniversary Tessa has written five free eBooks which are being given away online:

  • Checking and Referencing Tenants
  • Data Protection for Landlords
  • Mandatory Inspections – EPC, Gas and Electricity
  • Tenancy Agreements, and
  • Using Section 21 and Section 8 Notices

Plus there is a 20% Landlord Law discount membership offer.

You will find these on the special anniversary page, along with a link to an article about ‘the Landlord Law Story’.

But if you want the eBooks make sure you download them (or use the discount coupon) before 10.30 pm on 24th December as otherwise Santa will be taking them away …

You will find the Anniversary Page here.  Or via the yellow ticker tape on the home page.
