Hi, my name is Melissa Lawford and I’m the property correspondent at The Telegraph. The Government will be publishing its Renters Reform Bill white paper on Thursday and I’m keen to talk to landlords about how this will affect them.

Particularly the plans to introduce a landlord register, abolish Section 21 evictions and give tenants legal rights to have pets. Is this something that you have an opinion on? Please get in touch, melissa.lawford@telegraph.co.uk

Update: This is the article now written by Melissa >> https://www.telegraph.co.uk/property/buy-to-let/landlords-will-lose-money-next-year-buy-to-let-britain-falls/

Landlords will lose money by next year as buy-to-let Britain falls apart

“Buy-to-let yields have hit a record low, fuelling fears that property investors will sell up.”

Hi thanks for posting. Let’s stay in touch? Might be worth developing this idea further. Particularly with inflation running away at 10% something that gave ex landlords additional opportunity could be a good thing.

Yes, Richard and Voastal. It's now a different kind of problem. So far I've parked some of the proceeds into low-interest-earning accounts which are really no good to man or beast. I've also invested in Tesla which I've studied and believe that they are a brilliant opportunity. But please don't take this as investment advice, do your own due diligence.
I'm currently paying too much money for my son's university accommodation. He's trying to persuade me into investing in student's accommodation in Bath, Bristol or anywhere in fact.
Is this a way forward in anyone's opinion, please?

Neilt and Richard, diversification is key and a major part of my investments include something that returns on average 6% per month and has a 9 year track record, even during market downturns. Happy to share privately with any disillusioned fellow landlords.
