Mortgage free rental property and Coronavirus?

If the rental property is not mortgaged then there is no payment holiday, (for up to three months) for a landlord which 3 month’s monies could then be offered on the understanding this payment holiday benefit is to be passed on to the tenant.

Are we then saying that tenants get up to 3 months rent free? But what if the rent is the income needed by the landlord for their own food, utility bills, council tax etc

Is this a debt the owed by the tenant to the landlord to be added to future rental payments?

So confusing!

Eh,

While I'm on one. As some have said above, this wasn't made clear to tenants, they was 'wrongly' told u han't got to pay any rent people, Greedy Landlord will shoulder this.

And we've got a choice. I know my tenants better than anyone. And I get on with all of em.
We either do it your way and stay silent and let tenants not pay pay any rent for 3 months and then u have 350 people homeless.
Or we do it my, bit of tough love to your friend's, tell em what's what, other side of the story and we keep people in their homes. Eh and my way has cost the tenants no money, Govt no extra money.

I never said I disarmed the alerts. And I'm glad u said that. Therein lies the problem. People make wrong presumptions. Interpret wrongly what they've read.

118 removed my reply to Mick, which was purely to point out and provide proof where in his comments he did say he was no longer receiving alerts. So are we not permitted to defend ourselves from accusations?
