Yes Stewart Mark and the team done an absolute fantastic job against West Brom and full credit is due. I hope this as shown landlords that we must never give up in our fight for all the injustices against us.
Onwards and upwards the JR is next.
Many landlords share your views on the RLA and NLA but better late bringing something to the table than not at all. The victory against W Brom will hopefully change their view points in the future and make them realise they need to toughten up

Yes Jamie was excellent , well done Jamie.
The trouble with shelter is no tenant is going togo to them and say I have a really great landlord. Its there really for compliants so they will always report negative . We need a way of recording all tenants views then we will see that most tenants are more than happy with their landlord.
But this would put shelter out of a job so its in their interest to slag us off all the time.

The thread below was posted on Property Tribes the day after the summit. It contains an action plan which we urge everyone to follow. Steve and I very much appreciate the effort many of us have made so far. If we can engage everyone in our campaign we can make a real difference. Please share far and wide.
http://www.propertytribes.com/landlord-apathy-will-be-the-death-of-us-t-127625320.html
Landlord apathy will be the death of us
Yesterday was the most important event in the 2016 landlord calendar.
Today, no mention of it on Facebook property groups, Property118, or LandlordZone. No sharing of content of reviews of the event. No call to arms to galvanise the landlords that were not in attendance.
Judicial Review Co-Claimant Steve Bolton said that Section 24 is the biggest threat landlords have ever had to face. Judicial Review Co-Claimant Chris Cooper said landlords were "sleepwalking towards disaster".
I am utterly staggered and dispondent at the seemingly non-existent support or efforts to create awareness of something that will kill landlords stone dead.
Yet all the landlords haters have jumped all over the event and slammed it. They appear to care more about our industry than we do.
Landlord apathy and lethargy will be the death of all of us.
Will the last landlord in the U.K. please turn out the light?
HOWEVER, if YOU want to step up and make a positive difference, then here's a plan for you:
NOW is the time for YOU to assist this cause and spread awareness much further and wider.
It is believed that 97% of the U.K.’s 2 million landlords have 3 properties or less and are likely not engaged on landlord issues on a daily basis. These are the landlords we need to make aware of Section 24 and bring their vast numbers into our campaign!
Below, I have created a social media press kit for you to use:
The four key platforms recommended to be used are:
Facebook
Twitter
LinkedIN
Forums and communities such as moneysavingexpert.com, fool.co.uk, etc.
We need you to create content, share content, and amplify content to reach as many landlords as possible.
To make this as easy as possible, we have created a raft of ready-made status up-dates for you to share across the web - especially Facebook and twitter.
Simply cut and paste the below messages onto your timelines:

The Axe the Tenant Tax Summit was a tremendous success - 600 people attended throughout the day, and we can use it as a springboard to drive the campaign forward.
You can see interviews with Cherie Blair, Lord Flight, David Smith RLA and others on the campaign Face Book page here: https://www.facebook.com/clause24/
Please share far and wide - there are still too many landlords who are unaware of Section 24.

I believe that the tenant tax summit and the West Brom. appeal ruling have occurred almost simultaneously, which is a bit unfortunate in some ways and fortunate in others.
The property118 action group proposes to support the JR.
>5.5K landlords subject to W.B.s illegal tracker hike are about to receive a windfall and perhaps would be willing to contribute to the JR now it has been demonstrated what can be achieved when no chance was suggested by many. With crowd funding available now how do we reach those who have their heads in the sand?
PT's are suggesting we (landlords) as a group are apathetic. I am not, and many of us here are not but the large majority are, perhaps because they are unaware.
I also note that we have too many different threads. Is there some way to pull the focus back to the JR which needs to be the next main focus? As does getting the message out to the vast majority. I have a good clue but am struggling to keep up at a pivotal time of accelerated events.

Agree Chris
It would be great if the victors of West Brom could pump some of the monies rec back due to the excellent work of Mark and his team into the JR
This is the big one landlords must win or what else will they be attacking us with.
Please channel all this positive result into the JR

Yes, they are indeed cretins. I would leave any of my properties that might qualify for this empty for quite a while before I would risk this happening. The way I read it, you could own your house for 15 years, all of the gain could have been made in the first 5 years, you then let it out for the remainder and during the last two years you grant someone a tenancy and they are entitled to 35 percent of the final sale price as a gift; when you may have remortgaged to provide further essential housing for the mobile workforce, migrants, students and so on so you may only have 20% equity in any case. Presumably you must then take out a loan to give to your tenant and also pay CGT.
I hope the RLA and NLA get their act together and provide a powerful riposte to this bullshit.
If they think there is a generational inequality that must be re-balanced why not target all owners of property? What about owner-occupiers like Jeremy Corbyn sitting on massive profits from the increase in their house prices, which are not even subject to CGT?

What ever happens landlords are being made scapegoats for the housing crisis can't see that socialist fool getting in to be honest but who knows these days think mark has the right idea emigrate, having three young children puts that on hold for me but that's my long term plan will never forgive what's happened over this year to our sector
