Hi Jerry. I got the same bounce back message, so I completed the contact form on line, but it will only accept 500 or so characters.

I spoke to a nice, helpful person at Conservative HQ and you can email them all your ideas and suggestions to chairman@conservatives.com

Hi Simon. I have been in contact with our legal team to ask what effect a Brexit would have on our legal case against HMRC. In summary, the main points are as follows:

If the upcoming referendum is decided in favour of leaving, as a matter of timing the issues in our case are likely to be resolved before the UK leaves the EU and makes any related legal changes.

If the UK votes to (and then does) leave the EU, the UK courts would have to decide out JR claim on the basis of the lawfulness of Section 24 when it was made into law, and not applying any new law as changed as a result of Brexit.

Our human rights argument would be unaffected by Brexit as the European Convention on Human Rights is not an EU treaty so would continue to apply (unless separately the UK pulls out of that too).

Hope that clarifies the position.

Regards, Chris.

Hi David

There is another petition about David Cameron, set up by somebody who thinks that Cameron lied before the election: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/122946

Well he did promise, a week before the election, that if the Conservatives were re-elected there would be no increase in income tax, full stop. This is how the Guardian printed his press release: http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/apr/29/tories-promise-tax-lock-in-latest-move-to-combat-labour

“David Cameron will pledge to introduce a new law within the first 100 days of a Conservative government to prevent any rises in income tax, VAT or national insurance in the next parliament.”
And “In a keynote speech, designed to be one of the highlights in a week of Tory campaigning on the economy, the prime minister will say on Wednesday: “This is the clearest choice on the economy for a generation. And beyond the plain facts, it also comes down to gut instinct. When you’re standing in the polling booth, ask yourself: on the things that matter in your life, who do you really trust?

You can see him make the pledge: http://home.bt.com/news/general-election-david-cameron-pledges-law-to-lock-tax-rises-91363978405034

Signed. There is more Panorama fall out to come.
The global unrest is mounting. We must be circumscribed in what we wish for, but in it together is dead in it?

Trump has demonstrated one thing at least. Connection with the public on controversial issues is popular even if scary and dangerous.
These adjectives are likely to persist.

It cuts both ways. Public opinion supports landlord bashing (scapegoating) ... use it.

Public opinion hates tax avoidance/ evasion.... hush it up!

Sadly our democracy isn't what we pride ourselves upon. Shame on government.

Where do we want to be? .... and can we get there?

Yes we can! The seeds are well sown.

This Treasury has not a hope in Hell of parrying the just criticisms it attracts unless the judicial system is corrupt.

Bring on the W.B. appeal. Bring on the Judicial Review. M. Express are waiting in the wings.

G.O. is becoming famous for his "u" turns

I could be wrong but Clamour is mounting on Cameron to resign! The best part is that Cameron sunk himself and he will take Osborne with him!

Corbyan may take crafty stance to get landlords support Circa 2 Million votes by promising to reverse changes made by Osborne. Having said that, I can never trust Labour as they may transpire to be far more ruthless towards landlords than Tories. In my opinion, both Cameron and Osborne will be history by the end of this year!

Corbyn is more likely to support right to buy for tenants of private landlords. Or removing ALL tax deductabilty of interest on BTL. The latter is my biggest fear of a Corbyn government.

The chances of him doing anything to help landlords is close to zero.
