Yes

I have emailed my agents today to start the process of Section 21 and marketing two of my larger properties - Need to get in early to beat the rush to sell!!

Alea Iacta est

Goodbye buy-to-let ... I will keep the HMOs though as their yield still makes it worthwhile despite the extra tax (just)

The buy to let market is dead as we know it I did my tax return today and did a comparible one for 2020 and it is eye watering and beyond belief I just don't see how it can be legal it is a total sabotage and goes against all taxation principles but it is happening Uve got to look after urself end of story that's what this has created

Yes BTL IS, I agree with you. GO can't really believe that C24 is truly about 'levelling the playing field'. Can he?

I suspect GO & crew are just doing what they have been told to do by the real TPTB.

I just had a look at that anti-LL (non incorporated only) forum that Jon Pipllman regularly posts on. As well as still copying & pasting posts from P118 to their forum on an almost hourly basis in a childish attempt to jibe, they still appear to be utterly convinced that C24 is all for them.

Really?

Hi Maria.
Yes, it is outrageous and disgusting and all that, but to say that the only conclusion is to look after yourself is wrong. Never say die! I'm not a religious person (in fact I detest all religions), but I generally have faith that things will all turn out okay. My main piece of advice to everyone is keep a bit aside - enough for a caravan on the Welsh coast and a coffee and wine fund, and then once bankrupt and therefore qualifying once more for benefits (with the 'fictitious income' created by classifying debt as profit gone) - we will survive. We'll do better than that. I plan to have the oven on constantly with cakes coming out of the oven every few hours. I'll also look forward to other people's offerings. We shall stuff our faces while gazing at the sea. And no tenants to deal with, and no being responsible for every little detail of other people's lives. It'll be cracking.

Hi Mark.
I can't imagine being that obsessed with other people. What are they? Consumed with jealousy, hatred, Schadenfreude or what? I remember being told they're really sexist and that none sound like they are women. I'm not a feminist - as so many women say about themselves - I am in fact a female supremacist, so I wouldn't think it was worth looking at the nastiness of a load of men. Get a life! I honestly can't imagine devoting my time to relishing the downfall of others I don't even know. I'm not an envious person though - I always fancied the idea of a chateau, but if I met anyone who had one I'd be sympathising with them over the cost of heating and I know I could never stomach paying out all the expenses even if I was a multi-millionaire. So I wouldn't be envious - but so many people are...

Easy to say but sometimes there is nothing effective which you can do.

This clause is bad for everyone . There have been reports suggesting a tax like CGT on 00. More likely to come now if Tories remain.

The government have a free hand to grab tax from anywhere they can..

pipllman is banned from HPC

bland unsight blew a gasket when I outlined my plans to buy 2 more BTLs - should prices / yield make it sensible to me to do so - without me having a care in the world about who I might be bidding against to do so

hey ho

Which is a shame, as the right of reply to some posts specifically mentioning me (still), would be welcome.
