Just emailed BBC Breakfast about their story about homeless children being put up in a single room after being in b&b.

I have highlighted this will get substantially worse as Clause 24 starts to bite.

Also pointed out that rent increases will make the loss of tax credits pale into insignificance because of GOs stealth tax on Tenants.

Yes a few of us have believed this from the beginning. But for the tenant i'm not sure long term it will be good. Rents will rise for the share holders.

Any benefit person will not be wanted nor the ones with poor histories.

Don't want to be negative on a Monday morning but this is happening my MP said it has already passed the House of Commons and they consider it done and dusted. Need to plan from now as this will come round very quickly a lot of landlords are on for a massive shock so being ahead of the game is a slight advantage what this government is doing is beyond belief and the fall out will show this

Yes the four year phasing in they have said to give landlords time to adjust is total crap . Its not for our benefit but to give the big boys time to get the houses built.

Got a response from my local MP who says numerous constituents have raised the same issues with him. He is a Conservative and has written to the Chancellor and will pass on any response.

Getting more MPS banging on Osborne's door is the only way this is going to get noticed, until it is too late and by then Osborne will be swanning in the Lords counting his brown paper envelopes...

Encouraging article in Times today with two Conservative MPs speaking out against the fictitious income regime (FIR, as I am calling it). Here is the link, but you have to subscribe to read it all - or go out and buy a copy.
