Hi Mark.
I took it upon myself to look up Barry's FOI questions from yesterday and added a few more to them and have sent them off as follows:

'With regard to the Budget proposal to restrict 'tax relief' for individual landlords:

1. Where does the 100%+ increase in CGT receipts come from?

2. How many individual landlords does the Government expect to convert to limited companies as a result of the measure (and how is this figure arrived at?) and how much CGT/SDLT does the Government expect to net from this?

3. How many individual landlords does the Government expect will be made bankrupt as a result of the proposal?

4. How many properties will be affected by these bankruptcies (since the businesses of portfolio landlords who are most at risk will be very large in some cases)?

5. How much rental revenue does the Government expect to lose as landlords sell up?

6. How many PRS tenants is it envisaged will see their rents increased (and standard of living fall)?

7. How many PRS tenants does the Government expect to:
a. fall into arrears (and how is this figure arrived at)?
b. have the homes they live in repossessed (and how is this figure arrived at)?
c. be made homeless? (and how is this figure arrived at)?

8. What provisions is the Government making to tackle the housing crisis which will follow?

As a portfolio landlord, the answers to these questions are very important to me, so I hope these questions can be answered quickly.

Yours sincerely'

I haven't noticed if anyone has posted this yet so I will. http://www.saynotogeorge.co.uk is now live and whilst there is work to be done on improving the text, removing typo's etc it is still there to be used as a tool to make people aware of potential implication.

Enormous thanks go to Gary Bartram who has done a sterling job on getting the site up.

D'oh!

I've been sharing the link all over Facebook but I forgot to mention it here.

Can you put together an article for me to include in our Newsletter tomorrow please. It needs to explain what the website is all about and obviously link to it.

Thanks in advance - please submit the article via this link >> http://www.property118.com/readers-questions-2/43811/

Hello Comrades,

I have sent an email to 21 estate agents in Reading and Twickenham with Petition link requesting, if they could sign and pass it on to their existing clients. I have had 7 positive responses so far.

I would suggest, if all of us on this forum could follow same pursuit by sending email to their local agents in one email by blind copying all of them this could significantly increase petition signatures!

Hi

I have sent emails to quite a few property journalist mags asking them to look at the forum on property118.com.

I have told them the next property crash will be 2020 if the proposals go ahead

Hi GL,
As previously posted, my Letting Agent (soon to be ex- Letting Agent), has ignored my emails on this subject. To find my new one, I'm going to email all the other large LA in the area and will use their responses to make my decision. Obviously there are other factors, but this will be significant. Perhaps other LL could do the same if they use a LA.
Mark, are Letting Supermarket pro-actively contacting their customers?
