Well done BTL. If you have the time to go through the whole thread and a few of the other relevant ones, there will be other arguments hidden there that can be used.
I think the point about it being like a wealth tax but worse is an important one which I made in one of my letters to GO, but have not seen it otherwise mentioned. I saw a clip of David Cameron pre-election saying they wouldn't introduce a wealth tax - we all know it is unfair to tax people regardless of ability to pay. This proposal is worse as it isn't even based on your assets or estimated 'wealth.' It's based on a fictitious income which rises whenever your costs rise and on which further tax becomes payable. The sky is the limit regarding the money that can be demanded of anyone who holds a mortgage.

Hi Joe

The member account of Gary Mason (AKA Lun Bun) was suspended by Neil Patterson for "trolling" - see http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=trolling

Great BTL. In many ways it's going to be similar to the information website we have talked about. I'm meeting with Gary, the guy who's going to put it together, this week. It'll probably be Tuesday or Wednesday lunchtime. He intends doing it in wordpress and giving you and I access to editing facilities.

I'm sure the site will evolve with time so we can incorporate progress of the campaign.

Hi John

I have decided to keep an open mind on the website you are building. On reflection, I think I like your ideas and if it is good enough I think it may be possible to link the petition to it.

I look forward to seeing it.

Property118 is built on a Wordpress platform and as you have probably guessed, we have some pretty awesome SEO skills. I would be happy to lend a hand if you are happy to trust me with an administrator login.

Hi Ros

You’re doing a fantastic job!

However the heading “Scrap the rented property tax levy” makes it look like it is referring to a tax on property rather than a levy on BTL mortgage interest.

I think this heading will only attract the attention of landlords. We need to attract the attention and support of tenants (and their relatives and friends) as well. May I suggest:

“Scrap the tax levy on mortgage interest before it forces tenants out and rents up”

(78 characters including spaces)
