Very well said Ranjan.

Thousands of landlords have already restructured to be ready for success. Now is the time for all the rest to make their decisions to get out or get smart.

Indeed. Videos tend to be useless to the deaf as there's nearly always a voice over. so I just avoid them. Also much slower than reading.

All of the above presupposes that this will be an effective government, rather than a dictatorial shambles led by a clown. It also, of course, assumes that Brexit is achievable and if it is (a really big if in my opinion) that it will be a good thing, rather than the totally destructive national catastrophe that so many experts have warned us of over the last 3 years

Oh Denise it is so depressing to hear opinions like yours of the glass half empty rather than glass half full type. The "experts" you refer to predicted catastrophe after the referendum result over three years ago. Never happened did it? Why not come out and say it that you voted for some party other than Conservative? You are just disappointed that the vast majority voted differently to you.

Reply to the comment left by Dr Rosalind Beck at 14/12/2019 - 09:14Rosalind, the five reasons to be cheerful about this election result in the opinion of the video host are;
1. We now have stability in Government.
2. The economy is going to be great.
3. “Permitted development” is here to stay.
4. Don’t have to worry about Land Value Tax.
5. Continuation of low corporation tax.
He actually said regarding BoJo and the economy and Brexit.!!!
“Now I trust those guys that they are going to have an intelligent team who are going to do what’s in the country’s best interests and just get it done.”
Hahahahahahahaha.......intelligent, country’s best interests...really!!!!
He seems to be foolishly optimistic in my view.
Yes they will definitely get Brexit done but what is not said is the negotiations will likely take years to achieve. Canada last year signed a treaty with the EU, took them 8 years.
All the countries not in the EU need to have their own treaty negotiated, this takes 3 to 5 years per country. The economy will be hurting while all this goes on. The best news for the economy would have been to cancel Brexit.
The other unsaid thing about Brexit is all those fools who now think they don’t have to answer to Brussels!! Well sunshine, now you’re going to have to answer to Washington DC, that’s how the world really works. The USA is a shark, the UK is a minnow, the EU protected the UK, the USA will eat the UK alive, goodbye NHS as well, it was nice knowing you.
He never mentioned upcoming Section 21 abolition or all the other terrible things the Tory Party has done to landlords over the last few years. Have the Tories actually said they won’t impose rent controls? Doesn’t matter anyway what they say as they break promises all the time. And what about all the many LAs imposing Licensing on HMOs which gives the LA almost total control over a landlord’s property. If the Council doesn’t like you then it’s hello 30k fine and goodbye to your License and hence goodbye also to your rental income, will the Tories fix that issue and take the power away from the LA?
I hope it won’t be as bad as I fear and we shall see what happens but for sure it’s not going to be plain sailing.

Thanks. That saved me 8 minutes. As you say, if the Tory attack on landlords past and pending wasn't mentioned, then the analysis isn't relevant to private landlords.

The video seemed to be coming purely from the point of view of a developer, not much said on the actual day to day practicalities of being a landlord, which I think is more relevant to most of us.

Yes I agree, in fact the win will be good for us all, the wider economy will prosper.
Boris is a born leader. A strategist, and like Trump he will propel the economy into orbit. In contrast if commy Corbyn had got in we would be in for terminal decline.
Optimism v pessimism
Positivity v negativity
Ability v dogma
That sums up Boris v Corbyn
