£13000 in debt and not the only landlord?

I gave my home to a rental agent who has disappeared and left me £13k in debt and hasn’t paid me any rent.

When I went to his office it was just another landlord who was in debt with him for 20k and have since found out he has done so far to 4 landlords in the area!

I’m now trying to get my home back, but keep the tenants, As you can imagine it’s a complete mess and the tenants want to honour their contract with the management company and want their deposits! I have tried to explain the management team has run away with my money and theirs!

I need help it’s so above anything I have ever encountered before. Can anyone advise of what company people or legal teams I should contact?

This could turn out to be quite a big story locally nearly £100k and counting have been scammed from local landlords.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Rob

Welcome KierD to the money laundering capital of the world.
The UK government is making millions by allowing property fraud by Russians and other dodge states.
Most in House of Lords make money through leasehold and do not want to alter the legal status quo because they will lose out.

As an ex cop. My default position is that EVERYTHING is a scam. If someone contacts me by phone, email, text, letter or even in person. I assume that they are crooks and google the hell out of anything they tell me and the numbers they call from.
Check the email addresses they send from. Its amazing how many come from private (Probably hacked) accounts even when they claim to be from HMRC or the police. My personal favourite HMRC scam said " If you don't pay, you will be under the rest" One that nearly caught me was "Thank you for your request to cancel your email account. If it wasnt you, click on the link"

It happened to me. They owed about 2-3 months rent. The rent was slow to come in, and instead of every month, it came in sporodically. I kept my own records so I could see they were late. I thought it was the tenant.... but it was them... The letting agent. They tried to lie and say payment for 'x' was for June... when I could only see ONE payment for x... and that was April... so they were trying to make out that they'd paid over the rent, and they had not. I took them to court. Submitted my information. Won. Then I got the high court sheriff to pay them a visit (at their serviced offices, but the home address was their mums or someones), but both directors jumped ship and resigned from Companies House as a Director / Secretary! I doubt I was the only one they had scammed, but I think the worst part, was that the tenant was actually on benefits... so they have been receiving the housing benefit money, but not paying me. Putting the tenant at risk, as I had assumed it was the tenant not paying... I informed the council. I'm all about naming and shaming. I have my CCJ so I don't really care. Spring Property Services Ltd was the name. Chanel Natalie Richards and Julian Terence Richards ran it. Absolutely dispicable behaviour.
