Labour have signalled an open door policy for anyone wishing to move to the U.K.

I predict net migration topping 1 million per year.

How does 1.5 million new homes scratch the surface?

They will build 1,500,000 homes but most of the electorate want a house with a garden.
High rise flats are not what most people want. Nor do they want dual purpose elevator/urinal nor neighbours with ASBO’s and big dogs .
Let all tenants have pets,
Boa constrictors,
Multiple dogs
And rabbits
Do you know what rabbit urine smells like?
Who will invest in all this?
The Government does not have the money.
Yes there is tons of private money.pension funds etc
BUT
THEY WANT A GOOD RETURN ON INVESTMENT
This is incompatible with allowing difficult tenants free rein.
If a bank has a loan in default to a private landlord then they need to be able to sell up . A tenant in situ will guarantee that they make a loss with their loan being underwater.
The banks will be less likely to make loans available?
