Looking at the website for Tipi their offering looks very impressive with all the additional amenities and extras a tenant could possibly want. Intrigued I had a look into the company and see that they are a subsidiary company of an indirect subsidiary company based in Jersey and the ultimate controlling party is Lone Star Real Estate Fund IV a Global Private Equity Firm incorporated in Bermuda. The government may welcome the investment of these multi billion dollar firms but when they have decimated the PRS will companies like Tipi be willing to home the less affluent who will be requiring housing?... Hi Michael,
Assuming you are on the title deeds and you are not selling your share then yes you would own more than one property at the end of the transaction and pay the 3% surcharge. Unless there are more quirks like the one mentioned in the article I am not aware of. Hence needing clarification.... Read More
