Mark Alexander has very kindly invited me to tell Property118 readers about my new book, which is very likely to be of interest to you if you’re obsessed with property investing and enjoy nosing into...
Wow, Mark it was quite a shock to see this! I'm looking around seeing if I can spot your hidden cameras now...
SO kind of you to share this with your audience (completely unprompted) - and I really appreciate you commenting on my posts as well. I see my blog and Property 118 as both flying the flag for being responsible landlords and realistic investors, so it's great to be able to send each other traffic 🙂
Thank you again - a wonderful Saturday surprise!... Read More
Thanks for the mention Martin - I'm glad I led to you finding your way over here!
I'm sending you a longer email about the ins and outs (almost literally!) of Xero, but in short: my sense is that it's overkill for a small portfolio, but if you're planning to scale you might consider it anyway so you're futureproof.
I have a couple of accountant friends (don't judge) who're obsessed with it, so it's definitely a great piece of software and will probably be dominant in the future...it's just a question of whether it's the best tool for your particular job right now.
A nice middle ground is the personal version, which has all the bank feeds etc without all the complexities of the full version and only costs something like £20 a year.... Read More
Thanks for the mention Mark! Glad you're a fan of the new intro too...it was a sad day when we handed the American guy his P45, but it was the right thing to do.... Read More
You can listen to the podcast on any platform, or even directly from the website. I don't own any Apple products, but we just talk in terms of iTunes because it's what most people are familiar with.
If you want to listen on Android, you can just put the RSS link (http://thepropertypodcast.com/feed/) into whatever podcast app you use (Doggcatcher, Podkicker etc) and it'll work exactly the same as it does on iTunes.
It's also on Stitcher and in the Blackberry store.... Read More
Hi Paul, it's the other Rob from The Property Podcast here!
If you want to get a weekly email notifying you about new episodes, you can join the mailing list by signing up at www.thepropertypodcast.com. We just send a single email every Thursday morning when a new episode goes up. You can then click through to listen on your PC at the website, either by streaming it or downloading the file to listen later.
You might also be interested in my other podcast - http://www.propertygeek.net/category/podcast/ - where I interview lots of people in different areas of property.
Many podcasts do go down the route of having sponsors or ad breaks, but we're happy doing it without payment because it's good fun to do anyway :)... Read More

Anon - if you'd made it past the first 30 seconds you would have been accosted by a crazy Scouser instead 😉
Looks like we'll have to ditch the cheesy voiceover guy...I was becoming quite fond of him.... Read More
