Details of a complaint made to Statistics.Gov.Uk by Property118 member Owen O’Neil
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to make a complaint about simplification of the context of statistics to the point...
"It is too early to know definitively, but it appears that these changes have halted the growth of the buy-to-let sector"
Well the English housing survey for 2017-18 (which is based on lagging data 12-18 months old) is already reporting a reduction in the size of the PRS after a decade of consistent growth - whilst we might want to wait until Jan 2020 for the 2018-19 survey, I'd class it as pretty close to definitive already.

I'm liking this - make it more personal and impactful - as soon as the word 'landlord' appears people will switch off - and is now linked in their minds to the phrase 'rogue LL' - so keeping it off the poster is a good idea.
We're so bombarded with advertising unless we feel something personally effects us we usually tend to switch off.
For the same reason (avertising overload) it needs some attractive "homely" image to grab attention, just text alone isn't attractive enough in our visually saturated world (but not to the level of distracting from the text)... Read More

New one - but I'd say that the rising rent should be first line item and big - axe the tentant tax being second and smaller than the first line. - makes it more personal.... 'campain details...' is redundant.

Has anyone else felt distressed, alarmed or harassed by the content of the Guardian article ? - or worried that this ratcheting up of anti-landlord sentiment will result in harm coming to them ?
If so please reply below - the author may have gone too far and committed a criminal offence.

How long between the alleged incident and the T trying to start a claim ?
(not saying they have exceeded the time limit - but a court would ask why there was a delay)
....and on the plus side you now have an address for service for the property damage claim to make against her if the deposit doesn't cover the damages :-)... Read More
